Testimonials
My dog Kennedy has been going to Hounds Doggy Daycare since he was just 5 months old and I genuinely wouldn’t take him anywhere else. The team are fantastic! They are friendly, professional and clearly passionate about what they do - they love the dogs like they are their own. Kennedy absolutely loves it there! I love the fact it’s in a natural setting as well.
The doggy school bus service is a total game changer! It’s so convenient and it makes our routine so much easier.
I cannot
recommend Hounds and the team enough. It gives me total peace of mind knowing my dog is safe, happy and well cared for.

Words honestly can’t do justice to how wonderful Hounds is. Our puppy has been attending for around five months now, and every visit is pure excitement—he sprints straight to the gates, tail wagging, ready to go! We bring him once a week, and without fail we receive photos, videos, and thoughtful updates about his day, along with notices about upcoming events.
Since joining, his confidence has grown tremendously, and the team at Hounds have been fantastic in offering advice and training tips whenever we’ve needed support. The setting itself is amazing, with a secure forest space where the dogs can play, explore, and socialise with a variety of other pups.
We couldn’t recommend Hounds highly enough—if you’re considering doggy daycare, this is truly the perfect place for your dog to be happy, safe, and well cared for.

My 6 month old Puppy Ruby has been going to Hounds for daycare and socialisation sessions for a couple of months now.
I was very concerned about getting the right care for my young puppy. The set up at Hounds is fantastic and very unique. Dogs can be separated into 3 zones and they have plenty of stimulation with the environment at the daycare facility.
Being outside in a forest environment is every pups ideal set up and Ruby really enjoys her time here. She’s about to join the gang for doggy swimming sessions which is a fabulous introduction to her first swimming experience.
I would highly recommend Hounds Day Care and look forward to Ruby becoming part of the gang!

The Story Behind Hounds
Hi, I'm Kirsty, founder of Hounds.
Like many dog owners, my journey started when I was searching for the right daycare for my own dogs. They loved being outdoors, exploring and simply being dogs, but I struggled to find somewhere that truly felt right.
My Labradoodle, Mollie, was the most incredible dog. She loved other dogs, but she also liked things to be calm and balanced. I knew she wouldn't have enjoyed spending every day in a large group with boisterous dogs, feeling as though she had to keep everyone in line. It didn't feel fair, and it made me realise that not every dog fits into the same mould.
That was the beginning of Hounds.
I wanted to create a place that recognised every dog as an individual. A place where older dogs, younger dogs, nervous dogs, energetic dogs and everything in between could all be supported in a way that suited them. Somewhere that focused on understanding each dog's personality, confidence and wellbeing, rather than expecting every dog to fit into one environment.
One of the values we've built Hounds around is simple: we never want to say "no" if there's another way. Instead of turning dogs away because they need a little extra support, we'd much rather work with them, build their confidence and help them become the dog they have the potential to be.
Every dog deserves that opportunity.
I've always been surrounded by dogs. I grew up with Boxers before our family welcomed Collies, and my own dogs, Mollie and Archie, have shaped so much of who I am today. As I learnt more about canine behaviour and wellbeing, my perspective completely changed. I began to understand dogs on a much deeper level and realised how much difference the right knowledge can make—not just for dogs, but for their owners too.
That passion is why Hounds has grown beyond daycare. We created workshops, training sessions and wellbeing services because we believe education empowers owners to build happier, healthier relationships with their dogs. When owners feel supported, dogs benefit too.
Today, Hounds is still growing, but our vision remains the same. We want to create a trusted woodland canine club where local dog owners feel supported throughout every stage of their dog's life. A place where daycare, grooming, wellbeing, behaviour support, workshops and community all come together under one roof. Somewhere you know you can turn to, whatever you and your dog need.
Most of all, Hounds is Mollie's legacy.
Every decision we make, every improvement we invest in and every new service we introduce is driven by one simple goal: to help more dogs live happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives.
And we're only just getting started.
