For the first time ever, Hounds are bringing the magic of Christmas to the woods with Santa Paws in the Woods — a festive walk-through experience designed especially for dogs and their families. Begin your journey with a warming drink in hand — mulled wine, hot chocolate, or a puppuccino for your four-legged friend — before stepping into a woodland full of twinkling lights and festive cheer.
Follow the glowing trail to our photo area, the perfect spot to capture your dog under the fairy lights before continuing on to the enrichment zone, where dogs can enjoy fun sniff-and-seek games and festive treat challenges. Next, venture into Santa’s Grotto, where you’ll meet Santa Paws himself for a special photo moment and your dog’s very own Christmas gift from the big man in red.
The magic continues at the Wishing Tree, where families can hang their festive wishes and messages, followed by a wander through our Christmas Market experience — a cosy spot to browse local small-business stalls and festive goodies. End your visit by creating a keepsake at our Make Your Own Ornament station, a lovely way to remember your dog’s first visit to Santa Paws in the Woods. The experience will last between an hour to an hour and a half and is bookable in 15 minute time slots.
What age is the children’s ticket for?
Children’s tickets are for those aged 2 to 13 years old.
Little ones under 2 can join for free with an accompanying adult. Children 13 and over will need an adult ticket.
Do I need to pre-book tickets?
Yes, pre-booking is essential to ensure we can manage the number of visitors and provide a calm, magical experience for all. You can easily book your tickets via our website or by scanning the QR code provided.
Is there parking?
Yes free parking is available but it's only small so please car share where possible
How long does the event last?
The Santa Paws Woodland Journey takes around 60 - 90 minutes to complete, depending on how much fun you’re having along the way! We recommend arriving 5 minutes before your time slot to fully enjoy the experience.
What should I bring to the event?
Please bring warm, weather-appropriate clothing, as part of the event is outdoors. We recommend sturdy shoes for walking through the woodland and a camera or phone for all the photo opportunities! You may also want to bring a lead for your dog and some dog waste bags.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes - the experience is designed especially for them! Just make sure they are kept on a lead during the event, and that they’re comfortable in a group setting. There is no limit to the amount of dogs that you bring as long as they each have a ticket and you remain in control of them
Is the event wheelchair accessible?
As the event is within woodland there are lots of uneven footing. So whilst it would be possible it would be a little tricky. There are also large steps into our cabins so access wouldnt be possible into those
Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?
Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable. If you can’t make your scheduled time, feel free to pass your tickets along to someone else. Please let us know in advance if you need to transfer tickets.
Is the event suitable for all dog breeds?
Yes, the event is designed to be a calm and welcoming experience for all dogs. We ask that owners monitor their dogs and ensure they are comfortable in the environment. If your dog has special requirements, feel free to reach out to us before booking.
Can I buy tickets on the day of the event?
We highly recommend booking in advance to guarantee your spot, as spaces are limited. Tickets may be available on the day if there are any unsold slots, but we cannot guarantee availability.
Will there be food available?
Yes! We have a small Christmas market where you can pick up homemade treats for your dog and delicious fresh bakes for the family. There will also be hot drinks available to keep you warm during your adventure.
How much is a ticket?
Tickets start at £20 for a standard adult and dog combination
What happens if it rains?
The event is rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather! If the conditions are unsafe, we will notify you about any rescheduling options. We’ve got plenty of covered areas for those looking to take a break from the rain.
